Donna, the expert who's decided to reveal Meghan Markle's story: 'There are problems'

Donna Collins exposes Meghan's mistakes and expresses very harsh words when analyzing the duchess's latest project

The media attention on Meghan Markle hasn't diminished since she left royal life in the United Kingdom to move to California. The Duchess of Sussex has cultivated a presence in the media, both for her personal life and her professional projects. Always willing to explore new paths, Meghan has created her brand and has carried out collaborations that have sparked conversation. Donna Collins's criticism: a lament for quality

Donna Collins, founder of Jelly Queens and known for her expertise in the world of craft-made jams, hasn't hesitated to express her disappointment. In an interview with The Mirror, the expert questioned the "spread" label that Meghan has used for her apricot cream.

According to Collins, this term is an indication of a mistake in the product's preparation. Because "in the jam industry, a spread is what we call something that hasn't worked." In addition, the inclusion of pectin, a gelling agent, was seen as an attempt to correct a defective texture.

Collins has been very direct, stating that there are no excuses for a product of these characteristics to be launched with technical problems. "It should be perfect," she said, casting doubt on the quality of As Ever's production. The criticism questions the capability of the team behind the brand, making it clear that high-quality ingredients are needed, but also the technique and the production process.

Commercial success versus technical criticism

Despite the criticism, As Ever's collection has proved to be a commercial success, with products selling out quickly on its website. The orange blossom honey and the apricot cream sold out in less than an hour, which reflects the brand's popularity among Meghan's followers.

However, some question the high prices, such as the $28 honey, which has caused debate about value for money. In addition, international buyers have expressed frustration upon discovering that, for now, shipping is only available within the United States. Meghan Markle's commercial boom remains indisputable, but criticism from experts like Collins adds an interesting twist to the conversation.
