Everyone Worries About Irene of Greece After What Happened with Queen Sofía in Mallorca
Irene of Greece has raised everyone's concern after what happened with Queen Sofía at the Easter concert
Doña Sofía attended the traditional Easter charity concert at the Cathedral of Mallorca this Monday. It was an event organized by Proyecto Hombre Baleares, a charitable occasion that has now celebrated its sixteenth edition. As in previous years, Doña Sofía was a prominent spectator; however, something caught significant attention: she appeared alone.
The sister of Doña Sofía, Irene of Greece, was not present. Her absence surprised many, as both usually attend this concert together. Their complicity and closeness have always been evident in this type of event, which is why Irene's absence has caused concern.

Doña Sofía arrived alone at the Seu, and at the temple's doors, she was received by several authorities. Marga Prohens, president of the Balearic Government, led the reception. Also present were: Gabriel Le Senne, president of Parliament; Llorenç Galmés, president of the Consell de Mallorca, and Tomeu Català, founder of Proyecto Hombre.

Inside the cathedral, the Queen Emerita greeted the ecclesiastical authorities. She spoke with the Bishop of Mallorca, Sebastià Taltavull, and with the Dean of the Cathedral of Palma, Antoni Vera. She then took her seat in the front row, with the president of the Government on one side and Tomeu Català on the other.

During the concert, Fauré's Requiem was performed. The Balearic Symphony Orchestra was conducted by Pablo Mielgo.
The Choir of the University of the Balearic Islands, under the baton of Núria Cunillera, accompanied the orchestra. Also participating were soprano Lorena Bonnin and baritone José Antonio López.
