Buckingham Palace admits last-minute rumors about Charles III: Today is the day
A special day that arrives amid expectant looks, crossed messages, and a silence that says more than it seems
King Charles III commemorates a new anniversary since his official ascension to the throne. May 6, 2023, marked the beginning of a new era in the British monarchy. Today, two years later, the context is very different for him and his family.
Since then, his institutional role has kept firm, but surrounded by personal challenges. The support of Queen Camilla and the constant presence of the Princes of Wales have been key. However, the media focus has centered on Harry's recent statements that have surprised everyone.

Harry's words that generate unease
The Duke of Sussex gave an interview in which he spoke openly about his desire to reconcile with his family. "There's no point in fighting anymore, life is precious," he expressed to the BBC. His tone was conciliatory, but the implications were deep.
When speaking about his father, Prince Harry acknowledged: "I don't know how much longer my father has to live. He doesn't talk to me because of security issues." A confession that left royal family followers perplexed.
On February 5, 2024, Buckingham reported that the king suffers from cancer, and to this day, the type of diagnosis has not been informed. Charles III, in a recent activity, said that cancer is "an overwhelming and sometimes terrifying experience." Even so, he has tried to keep up with his official agenda whenever his health allows.

A special day marked by symbolism
Charles III participated this Monday in the events for Victory in Europe Day, alongside Queen Camilla. The Princes of Wales and their children were also present at the commemoration. The family image was interpreted as a gesture of institutional unity.
Additionally, the second anniversary of the coronation coincides with the birthday of his grandson Archie, son of Harry and Meghan. This coincidence has intensified the day's symbolism. The distance between Charles III and his grandson has also been a topic of conversation.
Charles III has wanted to leave an artistic legacy of his coronation. Five portraits were commissioned that capture the most memorable moments of the event in 2023. These works were officially presented at Clarence House in September of last year.
While the events continue, Harry's words keep generating debate. From Buckingham, there are no new statements, but all eyes are on the sovereign. In this commemoration, the balance between duty and emotion is once again put to the test.
