Target Sends an Urgent Message to Its Customers in the United States: Walmart Denies It
Alert at Target Over Contaminated Food in the United States
Target has announced an emergency recall after the discovery of small stones in one of the chocolate bars they sold. The product in question has been marketed under the Tony’s Chocolonely brand. Target has removed it from the shelves after several consumers reported the presence of these foreign objects in the chocolate.
The company responsible for the contaminated bar, Tony’s Chocolonely, confirmed that it affects several batches of their products. The company indicated that it had received up to 12 reports from consumers who reported finding "small stones" inside the chocolate bars.

This was due to a failure during the almond harvesting and processing process by a third party. The company explained that the product did not go through the necessary filter in that process.
Target Specifies the Affected Batches
The recall specifically affected seven batches of the Dark Almond Sea Salt Bar and Everything Bar. They were distributed between February 7 and March 24, 2025.
Fortunately, no consumer complaints came from North America, and no injuries have been reported. The recall is being carried out in cooperation with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a precautionary measure.
The company Tony’s Chocolonely clarified that the risk of an individual product being affected is low. Nevertheless, they decided to recall the batches due to the seriousness of the situation.
In their official statement, they emphasized that this procedure aims to ensure consumer safety and satisfaction. "Although the chances of a product being affected are low, we have taken this measure to protect our consumers. Also to ensure their well-being," the company explained on their website.

For customers who have purchased any of the affected bars, the recommendation is clear: do not consume them. Instead, they should return the product to the stores where they bought it for a full refund or, if they prefer, discard it.
Details of the Affected Batches
The recalled chocolate bars include the following expiration dates and batch codes:

Additional Alert: Good & Gather Green Beans Recall
This is not the only recent incident related to product recalls at Target. An alert has also been issued about Good & Gather green bean cans, which have been recalled in 21 U.S. states due to unspecified concerns by the FDA.
The green bean cans with the label "Best if used by October 28, 2026" have been voluntarily recalled as a precaution. In total, 197,808 cans have been recalled, and this recall has been classified by the FDA as class II. It indicates that the issues could cause temporary or reversible adverse health effects.
