Princess Märtha Louise Sets Off All the Alarms After Sonja of Norway's Hospitalization

The princess has gone to the hospital without making statements, while anticipation grows regarding the monarch's health condition

The scene, although silent, has said much more than words could express. At 9:20 a.m. this Tuesday, Princess Märtha Louise was captured upon her arrival at Oslo University Hospital.

The gesture was serene, but her presence has been interpreted as a clear sign of concern and closeness toward her mother, Queen Sonja. It should be remembered that the monarch has been hospitalized since Monday after experiencing breathing difficulties during her Easter vacation.

This gesture has caused great media interest in Norway. The Royal House, which usually handles these types of situations with a low profile, has kept silent so far, referring to the initial statement issued on Monday.

"Her Majesty the Queen was admitted this afternoon to Oslo University Hospital for examinations due to difficulty breathing. The Queen was airlifted from the Prince's Cabin in Sikkilsdalen, where the royal couple spent the holidays."

Märtha Louise has gone to the hospital alone, without her husband Durek Verret, and has done so privately. Even so, her presence has taken on significant symbolism, especially considering that she was with her parents at the mountain retreat.

The princess has avoided any contact with the press upon her arrival. Additionally, the mere fact that she has traveled to the medical center has been interpreted by many as a sign of concern.

Meanwhile, other family members keep their institutional agenda. Prince Haakon doesn't plan to alter his trip to Poland, and King Harald, who was also on vacation with the queen, will resume his activities at the end of the week.

Concern After the Admission of Queen Sonja of Norway

Even Sonja herself had official commitments scheduled for Thursday. A fact that suggests the admission could be brief, although it has not been officially confirmed.

This episode occurs just three months after the queen successfully underwent surgery to have a pacemaker implanted. Although she has enjoyed good health until now, her age and the lack of updates have made all eyes focus on her progress.
